Pre-Employment Medicals & Fitness Screening

Precise Health Assessments to Ensure Workforce Capability

Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations

True workplace safety starts with ensuring every employee is medically capable of performing their job without risking their own health or the safety of others. Our Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations move beyond standard check-ups to deliver a detailed assessment of a candidate’s physical and functional capacity, benchmarked directly against the specific demands of the role. This proactive approach is essential for meeting your WHS duty of care, mitigating injury risk, and protecting your business from future compensation liability.

Strategic Risk & Liability Mitigation

Protecting Your Liability

Establish a baseline record of a candidate’s health before employment. This documentation is critical for avoiding or limiting liability for pre-existing conditions (e.g., musculoskeletal injuries or hearing loss) in future workers' compensation claims.

Identifying Core Risk Factors

Screen for chronic health concerns (such as cardiovascular risk, diabetes, or obesity) that could severely impact long-term attendance, stamina, and safety in physically demanding roles.

The Right Fit, Physically

Unlike generic check-ups, our assessments are custom-designed based on the physical demands of the specific job, ensuring the employee’s capacity directly aligns with the required tasks and safe work methods.

Proactive Premium Control

By ensuring only medically appropriate candidates are placed into safety-sensitive roles, you proactively reduce accident frequency, serious claims, and subsequent workers' compensation premiums.

Baseline Medical Screening

A comprehensive physical exam covering core physiological systems: Vitals (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate), Sensory Function (Vision, Audiometry upon request), Respiratory Capacity, and general systemic health reviews.

Functional Capacity Testing (FCE)

Detailed, job-specific assessments to measure capacity against demands, including: Maximum Safe Lift limits, Range of Motion and Flexibility, Joint Biomechanics, and Endurance tests. This confirms physical ability to safely manage manual handling tasks.

Targeted Occupational Health Modules

Optional modules added based on role risk: Spirometry (lung function for dusty/confined roles), Fatigue Risk Screening (for drivers/shift workers), and mandatory Drug & Alcohol Screening to AS/NZS standards.

Clear Reporting for Decisions

Actionable Recommendations: You receive a concise, easy-to-read summary report within one business day of the assessment. The report provides a clear Fit, Conditional Fit, or Unfit recommendation based on the role’s criteria, along with expert advice on any reasonable adjustments needed to safely employ the candidate.
